JLG Telehandlers United States
After spending many years working together with his brother to build their crane construction corporation into a leader of the business, John L. Grove chose to stop working. John as well as his wife Cora celebrated their retirement by setting out on a cross-country trip in their R.V. After that particular trip, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the worldwide leading maker of mobile aerial work platforms and specialized material handling machinery.
John spent a lot of the time in the R.V. journey talking to prior business associates that the Groves were visiting on their journey. Sadly, while they visited the Hoover Dam, 2 workers were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. During subsequent conversations, John saw a huge untapped market for a equipment which could safely and quickly lift people into the air to be able to perform maintenance and construction functions.
John decided to take action when John and his wife returned from the trip. He began a partnership with two dear friends when they purchased a small metal manufacturing business in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. During 1970, with an initial group of 20 workers, the trio built and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. Numerous components of the basic design elements of that original machine are still being incorporated into the present product
Ever since John L. Grove first drove back into town from his cross-country trip, the business has come a very long way. They have significantly grown since their first aerial work platform originally launched on the marketplace. Even these days, JLG continues to expand into additional global markets. Numerous innovative products are designed to help customers work safer and be more effective.
JLG has remained committed to being at the forefront of the business. The company takes operator comfort into consideration very seriously. They strive to deliver in performance, in addition to overall comfort and safety so that the driver could be as effective as possible.
