Rough terrain forklifts have been produced by CareLift Equipment, ever since the year 1962. Every day the company strives to deliver value and help all their customers reach their objectives as they know the bottom line is dependability and performance.
There are 2 general types of boom lifts. These models are articulated boom lifts and straight boom lifts. Normally, these units are powered hydraulically. Most commonly straight booms are the ideal alternative for jobs which need a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machine can rotate 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom could be vertically raised to below horizontal. Because the operator could maneuver and steer the vehicle whilst the boom is fully extended, it is a versatile equipment. These models come in gas, diesel or propane configurations as well as 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive.
The articulated boom lifts are utilized for tasks which need to reach up and over obstacles so as to gain access. These specialized lifts are used for tasks that are not easily completed by straight telescopic booms. These lifts are almost identical to the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are various articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to easily move around any objects in the work environment.
To be able to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is completely extended, several heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Correct training is necessary prior to operating boom lifts so as to guarantee the operator, the jobsite and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable jobs that used to require a lot more man hours to be carried out in a much shorter time period. These equipment have greatly increased production and have revolutionized the material handling industry.
