Kinds of Hydraulic Cranes
Hydraulic cranes are one of the most commonly utilized types of crane within the construction industry. They are used to make everything from freeway overpasses and roadways to skyscrapers and buildings.

There is a huge range of crane models, sizes and styles available on the market. There are lots of different types in order to serve a variety of different purposes in the business. Choosing the right kind of crane is very essential for making sure that the material could be safely and efficiently moved to the location it needs to get to in order for the construction process to begin.

Truck Cranes
Typically, truck cranes have 2 different cabs. One cab is for controlling the crane and the other is for driving the truck when the unit is in transport mode. These cranes are very helpful for building sites where a crane is needed in many different places for the duration of the build. This is because of the fact that the crane is capable of being easily driven from one place to another.

Cranes can also be transported to different construction locations on the road since they drive themselves, which eliminates the need for extra transport vehicles. Being able to travel on their own really lessens transport expenses at the end of the day.

One drawback of a truck crane is that it is not stable enough sitting on tires alone in order to be able to lift the major loads which a hydraulic crane can handle. Hence, to be able to fix this problem, outriggers can be extended from the deck. The outriggers utilize hydraulic pressure to be able to slightly lift the truck off of the ground, making it balanced and stable.

Crawler-Mounted Cranes
The crawler crane is unique in that it has huge tracks on the base of the crane. These massive tracks are really like backhoes and bulldozers. The tracks enable the crane to successfully move around a construction site.
