Operator Environment
The Spirit Delta cab gives the operator a safe and efficient place to work from. The cab design is the end result of a major study of operators' working conditions. The main objective is to provide optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and large glass areas unobstructed to keep the field of vision clear. The ergonomically designed instrument panel is gently rounded and really comfortable. This specific area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all important info, so as to keep the operator functioning as efficiently as possible.
Noise levels and vibration controls are kept low due to the insulated mounting on the chassis. To be able to maintain an optimal working position, the operator seat and hydraulic controls are all independently adjustable. Moreover, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for utmost comfort. There are 2 simple to operate, multi-functioned ergonomically positioned levers that are offered for the horn, window washers, windscreen wipers and gear changing.
To guarantee a comfy cab temperature for the operator, a ventilation/heating unit supplies incoming air that is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The equipment has a robust 3-speed fan for heating, cooling, recirculation and defrosting. As an additional option, air conditioning can be fitted.
Instrumentation
The instrument panel in the spirit delta cab has been logically grouped and are all within easy reach. The standard instruments which include: low brake pressure, high coolant temperature, warning lamps, low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, high gearbox oil temperature and applied parking brake. Additionally, gauges display values for operating time, fuel quantity, engine coolant and gearbox oil pressure.
The ECS or Electronic Control System monitoring is amongst the key options on the 8 to 10 tonne trucks. These units make it easier to supervise the equipment. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS or Electronic Control System and incorporated by this system. The single warning lamp and the full text display show any faults that occur and their current values.
